Pre-School and Nutrition Project

Gramya Sansthan is running ‘Pre-School and Nutrition Programme’ for the children from 06 months of 05 years age in partnership with JIV Daya Foundation in 05 identified villages of Naugarh block, Chandauli. Total 200 numbers of children have been identified as direct beneficiaries under the project across the villages. As per the project’s mandate, preference is given to Musahar community children. Even today they are one of the most marginalized communities in the state having no avail of landholding, lacking behind in education and other insufficient means of living.

In this initiative, recommended quantity of Milk and Biscuits are being provided to the targeted number of children upto 05 years age on regular basis at the centers in the identified villages with support of Village Volunteers. The purpose of the above project is to reduce malnourishment among the children and promoting Pre-School education that helps to the children to adopt positive behavioral practice and getting them enrolled in the formal school education. At present total 200 number of children in the age group of 06 months to 05 years age are getting milk and biscuits as nutritional supplements for their growth and development.
