Daily Feeding Program (DFP) is running by the organization i.e. Gramya Sansthan at one of it’s Educational Centers located in a remotely situated village Laltapur of Naugarh block, district-Chandauli of Uttar Pradesh. DFP is supported by Feeding India, a Zomato Giveback. The children enrolled at the educational center belong to the marginalized communities. They are getting breakfast and lunch as per the meal calendar of the program. The children are happy to feed themselves by nutritive cooked meal. This is noble initiative that would overcome malnutrition, improving health and educational attainment.
Breakfast and lunch are distributed to the children as per the menu under the supervision of responsible teacher(s) & organizational team member. Boys/ girls studying at the center also help in serving breakfast /lunch to the children.

Earlier, when the program was not started, there were some children who used to go to their homes to have lunch since the working parents were not able to serve them food timely. There were some children belonging to the extremely poor families were not able to secure proper meal till the school time and many times have to attend the school/center with empty stomach, consequently less interest in their studies and poor health status as well. Now, the children are able to feed themselves with cooked & nutritive meal. Now they take interest in learning and focus on their studies. At present there are total 214 number of children/beneficiaries are enrolled under DFP and getting the benefit of cooked meal.
