The children’s education has been one of the prime concerns of the organization since its inception. The organizational working area Naugarh is remotely situated and geographically challenging areas. Educational facilities are very poor. Primary and Upper Primary (Junior High Schools) are situated in the area as mandated under the Right to Education Act (RTE Act),2009 but quality learning outcome is not ensured due to several reasons. Gramya Sansthan is runs the Educational Centers locally called ‘Chirag Kendra’ in different villages supported by Asha for Education, Chicago Chapter. We are working with their Chicago Chapter for around 12 years time in Chandauli. The children belong to the extremely poor and backward communities including Scheduled Caste, Adivasi, Banwasi and Minority communities. On an average around 600 number of children get enrolled at the Educational Centers in totality.
